Freezer Meals

We cooked all weekend long and now have a fully stocked freezer to keep us fed when baby comes!


We prepared 15 different recipes, which yielded 32 breakfast servings and 86 lunch/dinner servings- nearly 120 servings of food.


Breakfast:

Fruit smoothies
Breakfast burritos
Zucchini bread
Sausage and cheese kolaches (We used frozen dough)

Lunch/Dinner:

Southwestern Casserole
Beer Rocks
Enchilada casserole
Zucchini casserole
Taco Chicken Bowls
Shrimp Jambalaya (We substituted shrimp for the sausage)
Swamp Soup
Black bean quesadillas
Lentil stew (We omitted the sausage)
Burritos Blanco
Spinach Artichoke Pasta

The total cost came to $202.77, about $1.72 per serving (including the cost of the freezer containers). I'm really pleased with how inexpensive it was to prepare all these meals, considering we used grass fed/free range meats as well as some organic ingredients.

  1. Thanks Sarah for posting the recipes. I think I am going to make that zucchini casserole. I need a good recipe like this, because we are still getting more zucchini from our plant. Baby will be here before you know it!
